About Southeast Jewish University

Southeast Jewish University is a voluntarily unaccredited, fundamentalist, independent Jewish university in Fort Lauderdale, FL founded in 2008. The University is founded with the intent on bringing structure and incentive to deeper and more productive study of Torah.

Southeast Jewish University has never made application for regional accreditation and has no intention to do so as we believe it would jeopardize our philosophical distinctiveness. However, we do operate as a legal religious degree granting institution under Florida State Statute 1005.06(1)(f).

Degrees are granted only after intensive study and assessment in the old traditions of the rabbinic academies that have thrived for the last 3000 years, but using modern mediums like the internet in additional to the traditional Yeshivah and Women's Seminary environments. It is our belief that the training offered by religious institutions is far superior to that offered in the secular universities. Students graduating from our institution are better prepared for the real world and dealing with the challenges of life. They are upstanding individuals with moral and ethical integrity that stems from a core of deep devotion and true scholarship of God's words.

Programs at Southeastern Jewish University have similar or more intense time and effort requirements to achieve and be rewarded with a degree. Our programs differ in that their content has not been tailored to the requirements of the secular accreditation institutes, but instead sets a curriculum based on Torah Hashkafah (Jewish values and thought).

If you are looking to peruse a degree with integrity that conforms to Torah outlooks and laws than Southeastern Jewish University is the school for you.

Southeastern Jewish University proudly transfers credits from Jewish seminaries and yeshivot world wide and can form the basis of the majority of any of our degree programs.
